Inter Milan striker Adriano insists his immediate club future remains with the champions.
"For now I think only about regaining fitness and finding happiness, then I'll go back in January to Italy," said Adriano. "Inter is giving me all its support, I want to once again become one of the best and to convince Dunga about getting back into the national team.
"I'd like to play again in Brazil, but only towards the end of my career. Sao Paolo is a great club, we will see. It was my agent Gilmar Rinaldi who advised me to come here, I thank everyone for the beautiful reception they've given me.
"Anyone can cross a difficult time in their lives. I decided to return to Brazil because it is quiet here and I can count on the warmth of the people."
Back in Italy, Inter president Massimo Moratti said last night: "The lad has depression and we know such a diagnosis has several levels. Adriano must rediscover himself and his confidence. It's easy to say this, much more difficult to achieve it. We'll see what happens when he gets back here."
