Adriano fired a barb at Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini at his signing ceremony with Sao Paulo yesterday.
The Brazil striker is joining Sao Paulo on-loan for the rest of the season and said: "I understood that I could be happy here and it is an honour for me to wear this historic shirt.
"I am in good shape and hope to earn my place in the first team. I have so much motivation, I am not the kind to promise the earth, but I like working hard and want to be the Adriano of two years ago. The goal arrives when a player feels good with the team and himself."
Asked if he had words for Mancini, Adriano snapped: "I only want to thank President Massimo Moratti."
He added: "I went through a terrible period of depression. I lost my father and so many things happened after last year's World Cup. I have many regrets, but I have to look forward now."
