Adomah rejects record Barnet contract

Barnet's record club contract offer to Albert Adomah has been rejected by the sought after winger. The 21-year-old winger is out of contract in the summer and was offered a new three-year-deal last month.

Plymouth, Blackpool, Watford and Norwich are all reported to have shown an interest in Adomah.

A statement issued on behalf of chairman Tony Kleanthous said: "Although Albert has made it clear that he wants to move on, relations between the club and the player remain amicable.

"We respect his decision and reluctantly accept his position.

"There is obviously a lot of interest in him and his stated decision to want to go could lead to a bidding war in January.

"While this may be seen as a blow to our aspirations, we wish to make it clear that manager Ian Hendon will be given money to strengthen the squad if Adomah moves on."
