Adnan Januzaj grabs first Man Utd U21 goal in victory over Southampton

Adnan Januzaj was on the scoresheet for Manchester United U21s in their 3-1 win over Southampton.

Lloyd Isgrove's header from an Omar Rowe cross had Saints 1-0 ahead until the final 20 minutes.

Tom Lawrence levelled matters by capitalising on a mistake by Cody Cropper to lift the ball into an empty net. Cropper's day went from bad to worse when he handled a long ball forward by Ryan Tunnicliffe outside of his box.

The visitors took full advantage with Januzaj bagging his first Under-21 goal from the free-kick with only five minutes remaining and there was still time for Marnick Vermijl to wrap things up from close range after substitute keeper Will Britt could only parry another Januzaj set-piece.

John Cofie started the game for United, his first since returning from his loan at Sheffield United.
