Real Sociedad have agreed a kit supply deal with German sports giant Adidas, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The Spanish side's playing, training and youth team kits will be manufactured by Adidas, in a deal first reported in December. The contract came into effect on 1st July and Real's players have already begun training in Adidas-branded gear.
Adidas previously supplied the San Sebastián-based side's kits during the 1970s and 1980s, and replaces current technical partner Nike. No financial terms were released.
Real Sociedad's president, Jokin Aperribay, said: "This is really magnificent news. We are happy because Real Sociedad has been able to attract such a globally-acclaimed and revered brand as Adidas.
"For us this represents a new impetus - in this particular case, a commercial impulse in our objective to cement Real Sociedad's presence in Europe. This is the start of an alliance which I am sure will bring much happiness."
