Adelaide United to welcome back skipper Dodd

Travis Dodd is set to make his first Adelaide United appearance for the 2010/11 season this evening. The league leaders take on bottom-placed Sydney FC at the Sydney Football Stadium later today and Dodd, who has not yet played a minute this season because of a groin injury, should be right to come off the bench at some stage.

"If I come off the bench, it will be great. I have forgotten how to pack my bag, it has been that long. I think I can get through half an hour of competitive football," he told the Adelaide Advertiser.

Dodd is well aware that the Sky Blues will be out to record their first of their title-defending season but feels his Reds are travelling extremely well at the summit of the league table.

"We are the team to beat. We have a lot of confidence and it shows in the way we are playing," he added.

"There is no doubt they will be desperate for the three points, without a win."
