Adelaide United coach Aurelio Vidmar has rated Eugene Galekovic as the best goalkeeper in Asia.

Following the Reds exit from the Asian Champions League on Wednesday night, Vidmar heaped praise on his gloveman who has been included in the Socceroos plans for the upcoming World Cup.

"Yes. Yes he is (the best keeper in Asia)," said Vidmar.

"I thought our defence was very good last night and when they were beaten Eugene was there to do his job. He's been in tremendous form for two years and he's been a tremendous servant for our club.

"I wouldn't doubt that he is one of the best keepers in Asia, absolutely."
