Adelaide United playmaker Marcos Flores has heaped praise on Brisbane Roar star Thomas Broich on the eve of the A-League finals.

Argentine Flores has taken the A-League by storm this season with dazzling performances in an attacking midfield role for the Reds but he has been closely matched by the exploits of German midfielder Broich.

Flores spoke out about Broich as his side prepares for a knockout final with Wellington Phoenix tonight.

"Thomas is a great player," Flores said.

"I really enjoy when I watch him on TV. I really support the players who show beautiful skill and try to make something happen during the game.

"We are different players, and have different styles, but we both have the same respect for the ball."

And Broich was quick to return the compliment as he focuses on the semi-final first leg with central Coast Mariners tomorrow.

"Marcos has scored some fantastic goals," the Roar man said.

"He's a different player to me, but he's very exciting to watch."
