Adelaide United calm over injury to ex-Nuremberg forward Vidosic

The injury sustained by Dario Vidosic recently is not as bad as Adelaide United first feared.

The former FC Nuremberg attacker hurt his back against Wellington Phoenix on November 19 and only lasted until just after half-time of the weekend's scoreless draw with Newcastle Jets.

Speculation suggesting Vidosic could be sidelined for the season has been rubbished by the Reds who say that the Australian international will only be out for up to three weeks following a scan on the injured area.

"Dario has an un-displaced fracture of upper lumbar transverse process. He will miss this week's game but could resume within 2-3 weeks depending on the level of discomfort," said club doctor James Ilic.
