Adelaide United announce squad for FIFA Club World Cup

Adelaide United has announced a 23-man squad to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup that kicks off in December this year. The squad is made up mainly of the players that took the Reds through to the final of the Asian Champions League but with some important inclusions.

Midfielder Jonas Salley and defender Alemao come into the squad after being ineligible for the ACL along with youth team players Osama Malik and Michael Marrone and a third goalkeeper in Lucas Andreucci.

One player that will miss out is vice-captain Lucas Pantelis who is recovering from a knee injury.
