Adelaide United FC striker Lloyd Owusu has gone for a week-long trial with Chinese Super League club Guangzhou.
The former Ghanaian international departed for China from Melbourne yesterday following the Reds’ match against Melbourne Victory last Saturday night.
United agreed to allow Owusu to go for the trial after Guangzhou requested to have a look at the 33-year old who is keen to see what the Chinese club has to offer.
Owusu is expected to return to Adelaide mid next week meaning he will miss Adelaide United’s match against Wellington Phoenix in Christchurch on Saturday 30 January 2010.
