Adelaide's Cristiano endorses use of technology

Adelaide United striker Cristiano believes video technology should be brought into the game to help referees make decisions.

The Brazilian import was sent off in last season's Grand Final loss to Melbourne Victory for what appeared to be a fair challenge.

With the ongoing debate regarding video technology being re-addressed following recent incidents in Europe, Cristiano says that things would have gone differently in regards to his incident involving Melbourne's Roddy Vargas.

"Everyone could see that it was the wrong decision and it's killed all the work for the whole year," Cristiano said.

When asked if video technology should be bought in, Cristiano said: "I agree, (video) it's much better.

"Like (the grand final) last year - if the fourth ref had the screen in front of him he could see that (my red card) it's wrong."
