Adelaide United captain Travis Dodd is keeping the faith as the club strives to pull themselves off the bottom of the A-League table. The Reds remained in tenth position despite a 1-0 away win over the Brisbane Roar last week and now Dodd believes the club can gain momentum, just like the Newcastle Jets did, and snatch a few victories on the trot to climb the table.
"It is something we have spoken of as a group. We saw Newcastle win three games in a row to go from bottom to fourth," said Dodd.
"We know if we get results back-to-back, start playing decent football and score goals we can achieve good things.
"Newcastle has proved that."
Dodd wants that run to start this Friday night against the Wellington Phoenix at Hindmarsh Stadium - a place that has not been a happy hunting ground for the Reds this season.
"It is funny how the results have gone with us for our home and away form this year," Dodd said.
"It's something we need to fix, not only to get the points on the board but for all the fans who have come out and supported us at home this year."
