Emmanuel Adebayor would be willing to take a pay-cut to stay with Tottenham next season.
The London Evening Standard says Adebayor would prefer to stay at Spurs. He and his family are thought to be settled in London and have no wish to move elsewhere.
Extending Adebayor's four-year contract, which now has two seasons to run, could involve a drop in wages because Manchester City, who sold him to Spurs, no longer have any remaining commitments to the former Arsenal striker.
If he stays, Adebayor's basic pay is likely to be £80-90,000 a week.
