Manu Adebayor was thrilled with his hat-trick in Arsenal's 5-0 thrashing of Derby County yesterday.

"I am very happy," said 23-year-old Togo striker Adebayor of the first three-goal haul at Arsenal's 18-month-old stadium.

"As a footballer you are always looking for records but the most important thing for us is it was job done."

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger added: "He looks stronger. He is really a lion. There is huge force coming out of him and he is becoming calmer in his finishing."
