Emmanuel Adebayor is almost certain to leave Manchester City at the earliest opportunity after an amazing confrontation with boss Roberto Mancini this week, reports the Daily Mail. The Togo striker had to be restrained by players and staff after bursting into the Italian's training ground office with proof of a torn muscle, an injury Mancini had initially brushed off as nothing more than a dead leg.
He hasn't featured for City since coming on as a substitute in the defeat by Sunderland last month and claimed on the eve of transfer deadline day that he would welcome a move away.
'It all kicked off between them,' a City source told the News of the World. 'There is nothing worse than a manager accusing a player of feigning an injury.
'Adebayor might not be playing well, but he would never be so unprofessional. He was furious.'
Real Madrid are keen on Adebayor, with Jose Mourinho making tentative approaches in the summer.
