Emmanuel Adebayor was thrilled to break an eight-match scoring drought on the weekend but admits that contributing to Tottenham wins is more satisfying.
The Togo star, on loan from Manchester City, netted once and provided four assists as Spurs hammered Newcastle United 5-0 on Saturday and he was delighted to be a part of a vital victory for the North Londoners who sit 10 points clear of Arsenal in third.
"I've had some stick from my team-mates - in a good way - but it was important to be part of it, to score, to make assists.
"I'm here to help the team win games, that's most important. I've worked hard in training and my team-mates all believe in me and what I can do.
"I'm very happy, very pleased. We took the three points, we showed character, personality.""When you go through four, five, six games without scoring you start questioning yourself what is wrong," Adebayor told the club's official website.
