Emmanuel Adebayor cannot guarantee signing permanently with Tottenham.
The Togo forward's contract at Manchester City provides about £170,000 a week, far in excess of the salary of Spurs' highest earner, and that disparity might block a permanent deal.
He told the London Evening Standard: "It's too early. I'm not a liar, so I'm not going to start saying: 'I want to stay here for life.' Tottenham brought me here to help them finish in the top four and that's what I'll try to do. At the end of the season, let's judge it and see what happens."
