Manu Adebayor says Arsenal fans must not be critical of Thierry Henry should he choose to leave this summer.

Adebayor told the People: "If he leaves you have to understand him. He has been in the team so long and if he wants a change then people have to respect that."

But Adebayor is confident that if Henry leaves, Arsenal have the perfect replacement in Robin van Persie.

"Robin can do everything," he said. "He's an amazing footballer and next season he will be even better."

Adebayor said he now feels fully at home at Arsenal.

"At the beginning it was difficult because I didn't speak English real well, but I feel very happy now."
