Adams relaxed that Hibernian aren't in a relegation battle

Assistant manager Derek Adams has denied Hibernian are in a relegation battle. A 2-1 loss at Kilmarnock on Saturday in Hibs' first game in three weeks due to the snow and ice which has covered Scotland means Colin Calderwood now has seven points from his eight games as manager, having accumulated eight in the opening eight fixtures of the season - five under Calderwood's predecessor John Hughes.

"It's a long campaign and a lot of things can unfold now until the end of the season - we're only halfway through," said Adams, who was appointed Calderwood's number two last month.

"It's always important to get back into games as quickly as possible. We'll have to wait and see if the Hamilton game's on because of the weather conditions.

"We're preparing for another game with another three points at stake.

"We've got a lot of games in a short space of time and it's important that we pick up as many points as we possibly can."
