Portsmouth boss Tony Adams wants his team to retain their focus on remaining in the Premiership and not be distracted by European competition against Milan. He said: "Let's not big it up too much - for us it's all about three points.
"Don't get me wrong, it's a dream and we can live it and make it happen because it is achievable but it's one for the supporters really.
"Our priority has got to be the Premier League and staying in it so that we can have these kind of games every year."
Yet England goalkeeper James, 38, maintains: "There is no way you can call this a normal game.
"Up until the draw was made it was just a dream for many people so I think we have to play up the occasion because it is something football fans want. Whatever the result it will be talked about for years to come.
"Hopefully we can get a result and give ourselves the chance of playing Milan again in a later round."
