Adams pleased with Portsmouth striker Nugent

Portsmouth No2 Tony Adams says management was pleased with David Nugent's performance in their 0-0 draw with Manchester City.

Adams said: "David came on and worked very hard for the team, created himself a couple of chances and he was very unfortunate. As well as the one that hit the post, I think the second one was going in until Micah Richards got in the way of it.

"But if David keeps doing that, he will carve himself out a career here.

"Benjani was very similar and it takes time for players to settle."
