Sacked Portsmouth boss Tony Adams has said that he is surprised and disappointed that he is no longer in a job.
The former Arsenal defender was in charge for just three months at Fratton Park and believes he needed more time and more help from the board to turn things around.
"I am a little bit surprised, but results haven't been good," admitted Adams.
"I haven't had a lot of time and I certainly haven't had the financial backing. We've had a few injuries as well and that's tough to take.
"It's not turned me off management that's for sure.
"I've just got to make sure I get all the parameters right before I walk into the next one.
"I can't wait to get back in and have another bash. But I won't be impulsive.
"I've got to learn from that and make sure I get things right."
