Portsmouth boss Tony Adams admits he "shocked" his players by the way he steamed into them after defeat to Bolton on Saturday.
He said: "I love this job but I do not like being awful in the first 15 minutes of a game. I told the players so.
"I think they were a little bit shocked by my reaction but I intend to be honest with my players throughout my career as a coach and manager. I am what I am and do my job.
"I am not worried (about our form). I will battle to the next game. You just have to take it one game at a time and try to win it.
"The one positive was the performance of Peter Crouch, who led the line well."
