Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam isn't surprised seeing Marko Arnautovic struggling at West Ham.

Adam says Stoke players used to cover for Austrian at the Potters.

He told talkSPORT: “Consistency is an issue for Arnie, but when he's on it he's capable of playing for one of the top six.

“As a group of players, we let him get away with not tracking a runner because he could win us a game. West Ham fans won't let him get away with that.

“Marko's a wonderful player, but you need to get his confidence up to get the best out of him."

Since his departure for West Ham, former team-mates Geoff Cameron and Jon Walters have both questioned the Austrian's consistency and attitude.
