Adam: No hesitation swapping Liverpool for Stoke

Charlie Adam is happy he swapped Liverpool for Stoke City.

Adam says it was an easy choice to make between keeping the bench warm at Anfield or playing regularly at the Britannia Stadium.

He explained: "The reason I moved was to get regular football. Simple as that. I want to play. I want to play every week. There was an opportunity to do that at Stoke.

"I'm really grateful to Liverpool for giving me the opportunity to play for such a wonderful club. But as a footballer, an opportunity like this to play every week is hard to turn down.

"I'm happy to be playing in a team that has progressed over the last five years the way this one has.

"I want to put some of my qualities into the team but I'm not coming here to change Stoke.

"I've got no worries about the perception of the way this club plays.

"You play to your strengths in the Premier League. To put the ball up to Crouchy, why not?

"He's an England international. When you have quality like that up front, you use it."
