Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam has stepped up his training regime to win back his place.
Adam has shed two kilos in a bid to turn around his Stoke City career and nail down a regular start.
"Charlie has realised what has be to be done," says assistant manager Mark Bowen, "and has been working hard on his body mass and general fitness.
"He's lost about two kilos as a result and that can only do him good in the long term.
"He wants more game time at Stoke and is set on doing the necessary to get that."
