Adam hoping Blackpool move pays off

Charlie Adam hopes his move to Blackpool last year pays off.

The 24-year old officially joined the Championship club from Scottish giants Rangers after a loan spell last year and has his fingers crossed that The 'Pool can overcome Cardiff City in the Championship play-off on Sunday to fully vindicate his decision to trade in Scottish titles and Champions League football for a crack at England's top flight.

"Coming here has been the best move so far of my career. I have been able to enjoy myself, play to a level I am capable of," Adam said.

"The boss told me he would give me the opportunity to play. I never had that opportunity the year before - but that's just what happens and I have no gripe with Rangers.

"The manager showed faith in me and I hope I have repaid some of the faith. To play in best league in would be amazing.

"It's a big game. Rangers has prepared me for that. I have become a more consistent player with the amount of games I have played.

"I needed that in my career and happy with it. Now to get that opportunity of going to Anfield and Old Trafford would be fantastic for me and the team."
