Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam was delighted with his winner against QPR.

The Scottish midfielder's first goal since his deadline-day switch from Liverpool fired the Potters into 12th place.

Adam, 26, said: "We probably don't deserve to be where we are, but the table doesn't lie.

"I hope this is the win that kicks us on. We have had a tough run of games."
