Actions of QPR's Mbia 'unexplainable' says Man Utd great Neville

Gary Neville says he could not understand the defending of QPR in their 2-0 loss to Manchester United on Saturday.

The R's conceded in the 23rd minute when Rafael unleashed a thunderbolt which they could do nothing about but it was the second goal, scored by Ryan Giggs, which former United captain Neville was critical of.

QPR's Stephane Mbia appeared to attend to his gloves rather than help out defenders Clint Hill and Christopher Samba and Sky Sports pundit Neville was very negative of the defensive situation when speaking on Monday Night Football.

"You can talk about tactics and analysis all you like," Neville said. "You can potentially say, 'Okay, Clint Hill, you maybe should have gone in there'. You can maybe say, 'Samba, you should have adjusted your position'.

"They are tactical, football points - players maybe not seeing the danger early enough. (But) I cannot understand what (Jose) Bosingwa and Mbia have done.

"They are things which go beyond football analysis, because, to walk away from the game, which is something Mbia has done, is unexplainable."
