Achraf Lazaar isn't giving up on his future at Newcastle United.
The Evening Chronicle says the fullback has spent the summer so far training with the Newcastle's Under-23 side at Little Benton and was left out of the Toon squad that flew to Ireland's Carton House last week.
It remains to be seen whether Lazaar features for United's second string in their summer opener at Barrow on Monday night.
But while Jack Colback - who is trying to fix up a move to Nottingham Forest - has been missing from training with Ben Dawson's reserve side, Lazaar has battled on alongside the club's younger players.
