AC Milan defender Thiago Silva is at a loss to explain their dismal derby defeat to Inter.

The Brazilian said: "When you lose a game like the derby, it is always difficult to resume training, we will discuss the game and analyze the mistakes on the field after working intensely for a week in preparation for the game.

"I think the result was too big because in the first 25 minutes we were not second-best and it is difficult to understand what happened."

He added: "Leonardo is a very good coach and works on tactical situations. We'll wait for the return of all the internationals to prepare for the match against Livorno."
