AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko was happy with his contribution in their UEFA Cup victory over FC Zurich on Thursday night.

"It was the first game I have felt good in for such a long time," the on-loan Chelsea striker said. "I feel like I am on the right track, but I'm aware that I still have a lot of work to do.

"We played well against Zurich. We were aggressive and the work we did over the last few days helped us a lot.

"Now it will be important for us to win against Lazio on Sunday so that we don't fall further behind in the championship.

"It will be a tough game but we are looking to get some results for our efforts."
