Clarence Seedorf was delighted with his form in AC Milan's midfield for their derby win.
Seedorf was thrown into the role after several seasons under coach Carlo Ancelotti further up the field and admitted: "I started my career in that position.
"After so long, going back was not easy because it needs a significant change of mentality. Ancelotti told me a couple of days ago that I would play there and it was important to know a few days in advance."
With the injured Andrea Pirlo missing for at least six weeks, Ancelotti was delighted with Seedorf's showing as an out-and-out midfielder against Inter.
