AC Milan star Clarence Seedorf admits England's Premiership clubs lead the way in marketing themselves.

Comparing the history of Milan with Chelsea, Seedorf admits the Blues are doing a great job of increasing their global profile.

He told TalkSport: "I think in England they have to spend money to buy players but also in the management. There is a big difference in how they are managing their clubs in England now and how they're developing the other aspects of off-field activities.

"The marketing in England - we played against Chelsea in the (United) States this summer and more than half the stadium was Chelsea fans. In comparing it with AC Milan, the story of the clubs, there's no comparison but still they are doing a great job from that point of view and I think in a matter of time they will start really winning things in Europe but that's the biggest difference I see, not so much technically."
