AC Milan's Ronaldo shelves retirement talk

AC Milan striker Ronaldo has dismissed talk of retirement as he continues his recovery from knee surgery.

"I am feeling better and the worse is behind me," he told Milan Channel after returning from a month in Paris.

"I no longer feel pain and can now walk a bit better. In a little while I can definitively leave behind the crutches, naturally respecting the timetable we have set."

He returned to Italy this week after 26 days in the clinic in Paris and immediately felt more positive.

"It is great to be here today. Returning to Milanello, seeing my friends again and the fact I don't feel pain are all positive.

"It is still early to talk about a decision, but I am preparing for this great challenge that is getting back to football."
