AC Milan striker Alberto Gilardino was happy to return to Parma on Saturday for their 0-0 draw.

"We could have done with the three points," said Gilardino. "Especially as Milan had several chances in the second-half.

"Returning to the 'Tardini' has been a unique experience for both the affection that I feel for this city after spending three years of my life there and for the people who are always warm.

"Now the stadium is much like the English model with the fans very close to the pitch."
