AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi believes crocked striker Ronaldo will play for the club next season.

Ronaldo comes off contract in June as he recovers from his latest knee operation and Berlusconi said: "I think Ronaldo will remain with us, if he wants. I can still see him as a major player.

"If he still wants it, he is very young, 31 years old, we have Paolo Maldini who is 40 years old and also is an example for him.

"So I think and I hope that he wants to return, and in this case, Milan will be ready."
