AC Milan are considering a new approach to Real Madrid for attacking midfielder Julio Baptista.

Having already wrapped up a deal for Emerson, Milan chiefs are now waiting for the green light from Real for a new round of talks over Baptista's availability.

Real have spent over £80 million in transfer fees alone this summer and Milan are convinced they will snap their hand off should they make a serious offer for Baptista before next Friday's transfer deadline.
