AC Milan vice-president Galliani: Beckham in good spirits

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has revealed he's spoken to David Beckham since his Achilles surgery.

The LA Galaxy star is currently recuperating in London.

Galliani said: “He called me. David was leaving for London. I said to him that we expect him back for January 2011. He was happy.

“David is a great player who is in love with this jersey. He injured himself against Chievo, but he continued with a moral strength that was out of the ordinary. And then that cursed crack…”
