AC Milan veteran Mark van Bommel has defended Alexandre Pato after their derby defeat.

Pato was criticised for his performance in the 1-0 loss to Inter Milan.

But Van Bommel said: "It was not an easy game for him. Inter defended with four, it was not easy to find spaces. Now we no longer talk of his move to PSG. The boy stays at Milan, if we let him be, he'll return immediately to score again.
