AC Milan veteran Alessandro Nesta says retirement is not on the agenda.
Nesta signed a new one-year contract at Milanello earlier this summer, a deal that some thought would be his last given that he turned 35 in March.
"It is my intention to retire as late as possible and in a decent manner," the veteran told Sky Sport Italia.
"Let's take it one step at a time. We've been training for just a week and people are already talking about the future.
"I'll continue to give everything as I always have. If I no longer had the motivation to play then I would have quit, but I still have a great amount of desire.
"I'm at the Coach's disposal and I'll look to give my contribution to the team."
