AC Milan are interested in Valencia midfielder Ever Banega.

Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport say Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is in contact with Valencia for the midfield schemer, who finished last season on-loan at Newell's Old Boys.

Banega has a year to run on his current Los Che deal and Galliani is counting on an affordable valuation.

Any move, however, is likely to end Milan's interest in signing permanently QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt.
