AC Milan are interested in AS Monaco midfielder Jeremy Menez.

Controcampo says Milan have sounded out Menez's agent, Alain Migliaccio, about the midfielder's availability and learned that competition for the youngster has dried up.

Monaco are seeking £7 million for Menez and a swap involving Yoann Gourcuff has been mooted. Milan chiefs see Menez as ideal cover for World Player of the Year Kaka.
