AC Milan are swooping for released Real Madrid fullback Alvaro Arbeloa.

Arbeloa has already signed on the dotted line with AC Milan, says Sport Mediaset.

The defender who brought his long goodbye to an end in style at los blancos on June 30, has apparently signed for a year with an option to extend for another.

The wing-back, 33 years old, will extend his career in Italy having spent the previous seven seasons at Real Madrid. This is not Arbeloa's first foreign legion adventure, however, he did leave Deportivo La Coruña once for a three-year stint with Rafa Benitez' Liverpool.
