AC Milan striker M'Baye Niang has undergone successful surgery.
Niang will be assessed in six weeks, after successful surgery on a metatarsal injury.
“AC Milan announces that M'Baye Niang was operated on today by professor Niek Van Dijk and assisted by Milan's club doctor Stefano Mazzoni," a statement on the club's website confirmed.
“The operation was for a fractured fifth metatarsal in the right foot and was a complete success.
“The French forward will now have a medical check-up and X-ray in 6 weeks' time which will allow a more accurate recovery time to be established."
