AC Milan striker M'Baye Niang has explained leaving Watford last week.
Niang joined Watford in January on-loan, though chose against signing permanently for the Hornets.
Now being linked with Everton, Niang told L'Equipe: "I'm forever grateful that they gave me the chance to try out life in another league and that I had the playing time I was looking for, the club wanted to keep me but I took a personal decision to leave.
"I weighed the pros and cons and found that my future is not there, I hope they understand and respect my decision but I will not change myself."
