AC Milan striker M'Baye Niang was delighted to score in their 3-0 derby win over Inter Milan.

Niang went into the game being linked with Leicester City.

“We are very happy," he told Mediaset Premium. “We wanted to win because it was important for the table, the fans and the club.

“We put in a great performance and have to qualify for Europe, because we are Milan, we are a great side and tonight we proved it.
