AC Milan ace Kaka wants to delay his money-spinning move to Manchester City until the summer.
The Daily Star says the Brazilian superstar and his advisers - who are led by his father, Bosco - are concerned a fortnight is not long enough to decide whether to make such a life-changing move.
Waiting until the end of the season will also ensure Kaka, 26, does not get dragged into a relegation battle.
City, under current boss Mark Hughes, are currently just two points off the drop zone, despite already having another top Brazilian - £32.5m Robinho - in their squad. If Kaka does sign an agreement to go to City this summer, it will have a get-out clause making it null and void if the club do go down. It could also include a proviso that Carlo Ancelotti is installed as manager.
Kaka and Ancelotti will then be free to try to lead Milan to another Serie A title - they lie third, nine points off city rivals Inter - before an emotional farewell to the San Siro.
