AC Milan have made an approach to Lazio for River Plate goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo.

Lazio hope to sign the Argentine at the end of the season after a passport cock-up scuppered his move to Rome in August.

Corriere dello Sport says Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani sounded out Lazio representatives this week about a deal for Carrizo. However, it's unlikely Lazio president Claudio Lotito would contemplate a sale after waiting 12 months to see Carrizo in Biancoceleste colours.
